Citadel was one of the first NW communities to adopt a Home Owner Association (HOA) fee but with this came the ability to maintain the pristine flower gardens, attractive rustic brick walls and immaculate parks throughout the area. Family activities abound can be found just down the hill at Crowfoot YMCA, Crowfoot Arena and Crowfoot Library. 

There are two schools in the neighbourhood, Citadel Park Elementary (K-4) built in 2006 with large playing fields and a playground and St. Brigid School (K-9).
